Evesham Wood Blanc de Puits Sec 2009
Our love for Evesham Woods’ pinot noirs is well documented so it probably won’t shock any of you that we love Russ Rainey’s white blend as well. This blend of pinot gris, gewürztraminer and rieslaner (across between sylvaner and riesling) is one of the most distinctive Pacific Northwest whites in the shop. It is both aromatic and bone dry, reminding me of a northern Italian white more than anything. I cannot wait to take a bottle home and have it with whatever fresh fish I can find.
